How do you keep interest up with exotic supercars of the likes of the Lamborghini Aventador and Gallardo if they remain in production for several years? Well, in order to convince wealthy consumers to take another look at is existing models, Lamborghini's solution is a mix of facelifts and a constant flow of different and/or special editions.
The SV moniker, which stands for "Super Veloce", is one such example and has been used in the past on the classic Miura, the Diablo and more recently, on the Aventador's predecessor, the Murcielago . In all cases, the SV variants were tuned and more track-orientated versions of the standard cars they are based on.
