Turning a supermini into a four-door sedan may be fairly easy from a technical and engineering standpoint, but if not always, most of the times, the aesthetic results leave much to be desired.
The Mitsubishi Mirage-based Attrage small sedan is no exception to this rule, and this becomes quite evident in the brochure photos of the car that surfaced online a few days after the Japanese brand announced the production version , which will first go on sale in Thailand later this year, with more countries to follow.
Unsurprisingly, the use of a different name doesn't affect the interior that is identical to the Mirage, as are the mechanical components including Mitsubishi's 1.2-liter three-cylinder gasoline engine paired to either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a CVT.
In the brochure, Mitsubishi mentions two of the Attrage's main rivals, the even more awkward-looking but 300mm longer Nissan Almera (sold as the Versa in North America , but not to be confused with the Russian market Almera ) and the Honda Jazz/Fit-based Amaze sedan .
