All-wheel drive can provide only so much of a head start in a drag race against a two-wheel drive car. These type of models usually shoot off the line (if launched properly; a tricky endeavor) but unless they have as much power as a Nissan GT-R, in order to maintain the momentum, they begin to lose out.
