Images of Mercedes-Benz's all-new W205-generation C63 AMG are popping up everywhere except where you would expect them (that would be MB's press site).
Now, it's Autocar magazine's turn to jump on the leak-wagon (get it?) with more photos, including the first of the estate along with additional information.
Stuttgart's high-performance model shares the same 4.0-liter V8 bi-turbo found in the Mercedes-AMG GT producing 476PS (470hp) and 650Nm (479 lb-ft) in the standard C63 and 510PS (503hp) and 700Nm (516 lb-ft) in the C63s.
Both cars transfer power to the rear wheels through AMG’s seven-speed Speedshift MCT automatic gearbox. Even though it had been speculated, there's no mention of an all-wheel drive version at launch.
The magazine says Mercedes quotes a 0-100km/h (62mph) time of 4.1 seconds for the C63 and 4.0 seconds for the C63s sedans (C63s Estate: 4.1 seconds).
Even the base model out-powers the BMW M3 that gets a twin-turbo 3.0-liter straight six with 425hp (431PS) and 550Nm (406 lb-ft). However, the BMW gets to 100km/h (62mph) in the same time as the standard C63 at 4.1 seconds with the optional 7-speed dual clutch DCT and a little bit slower at 4.3 seconds with the manual gearbox.
