Prepare your root for a fizzing, TopGear.commers - this year's Detroit motor show is upon us from Monday 14 January, and with it comes a raft of delicious new metal.
From the sublime to the Smart Fortwo, there's enough new kit to see fresh entries into most major market segments. The luxo-‘vert market sees the lovely Bentley Continental GT debut, hybrids get a hot new Cadillac coupe, SUVs can eye up the Audi SQ5, and super-saloons get a new E63 AMG Benz, Maserati Quattroporte, and Lexus IS.
There's some other new bits for those of us that live on Planet Normal, too. BMW's revealing its 2013 1-series coupe and convertible, Mini's bringing a John Cooper Works Paceman, VW's got a three-row SUV and Smart's showing this year's slightly re-heated ForTwo - it's called the Cityflame and comes in Wiz Khalifa-friendly black ‘n' yellow.
And there's also a new baby brother to the CLS from Mercedes: the long-awaited CLA.
