Nissan Australia will soon have a potent new variant of the Patrol available to customers, dubbed the Patrol Warrior.
The Patrol Warrior has been developed and will be built by Premcar, already responsible for building the Navara Pro-4X Warrior that we had the opportunity to test earlier in the year. The Patrol Warrior will follow a similar recipe to the ultimate version of the Navara and adopt a series of modifications to make it even more potent when taken off-roading.
Premcar has confirmed that the Patrol Warrior will feature a host of wheel, tire, and suspension enhancements that will give it some additional ground clearance, a wider stance, and improve both the ride and handling.

All Patrol models adorned with the Warrior badge will feature a 5.6-liter V8 that pumps out 400 hp (298 kW) and 413 lb-ft (560 Nm) of torque, the same engine as all other variants of the Patrol.
A pair of teaser images have been released of the SUV. They reveal that the tailgate will be adorned with a black Warrior badge while the off-roader will also be fitted with side-exiting exhaust pipes.
“I’m extremely excited to announce that a Nissan Patrol Warrior is coming, and I have no doubt that it will be a huge success,” Nissan Australia managing director Adam Paterson said in a statement. “The Warrior program, our collaboration with Premcar, has already proven immensely popular in Australia, and a new version of the already hugely capable Nissan Patrol is a vehicle I, like many Australians, can’t wait to drive. Our collaboration with Premcar is all about developing vehicles that are perfectly suited to Australian customers and conditions.”
More details about the Patrol Warrior will be announced at its launch.
