The new 2023 BMW XM is the first pure M model with an electrified powertrain and the most powerful series production M car or BMW, for that matter, ever made. This chunky, high drama sports crossover, pairs a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 rated for 483-hp with an electric motor delivering 197-hp that’s integrated into the 8-speed automatic transmission for a combined system output of 644-hp (643 PS) and 590 lb-ft (800Nm) .
It can hit 60mph in a claimed 4.1 seconds (100km/h in 4.3 seconds), 124mph (200km/h) in 14.3 seconds and reach a limited top speed of 155mph (250 km/h) or a less-limited, 168mph (270 km/h) if you pony up the extra dough for the M Driver’s Package option.
The XM carries a base sticker of $159,000 plus $995 for destination with the first examples arriving in North American dealerships in early 2023.
