For the BMW Group, the Frankfurt Motor Show, also known as the IAA for 'Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung' that translates to 'International Automobile Exhibition', is not only one of the largest and most important events in the automotive calendar, but also one that takes place in its home country of Germany. Therefore, it shouldn't surprise anyone that the company has prepared plenty of world premieres.
The highlight of BMW's presence in Frankfurt will be the introduction of its new i series of eco-friendly cars, including the i3 all-electric supermini that we've already seen, plus the production version of the i8 plug-in hybrid sports coupe .
