Set to touch ground in the UK on December 1, Toyota's facelifted 2014 Land Cruiser has been priced between £34,995 for the manual gearbox-equipped three-door model and £52,495 for the top-of-the-line five-door automatic.
Whichever body style, transmission or equipment line you choose, there's only one engine option for Britain, the tried and tested 188bhp and 420Nm (310 lb-ft) 3.0-liter turbo diesel four-cylinder mill that has been tweaked to reduce CO2 emissions to 209 and 214g/km for three- and five-door models respectively.
Matched to a manual gearbox five-speed automatic transmission (only base 3-door) or to a five-speed automatic transmission for all other models, the diesel unit accelerates the three-door version to 62mph (100km/h) in 10.2 seconds and the five-door in 11 seconds flat.
The 2014 Land Cruiser features a redesigned front end and changes to the rear along with a new center console, revised seats and the availability of the Toyota Touch 2 touchscreen multimedia system featuring Google Street View for the first time inside. Toyota says it has also retuned the suspension to "achieve an even better balance of stability and ride quality".
There are three trim grades available, named Active, Icon and Invincible, more details on which, you can read in the list that follows.
